D-backs hold their first Disability Expo
During Sunday’s game against the Mets at Chase Field, a group of D-backs fans got the experience of a lifetime.
Before the game, a number of athletes from Arizona Disabled Sports showcased their skills on the field. The athletes showed off their cycling abilities and dribbled a power soccer ball around the warning track.
The pregame ceremony was part of the D-backs' first-ever Disability Expo. More than 40 disability-related organizations attended the expo to showcase their services to fans with disabilities.
Fans also were able to attend free health screenings and sign language workshops during the in-game expo.
