Dallas Braden dressed up as a hot dog to help Teddy Roosevelt win the Presidents Race

With hot dog Dallas Braden, T.R. wins Presidents Race

The Nationals' Presidents Races are some of MLB's most competitive, ruthlessly fought contests. The mascots treasure victories more than re-elections. There is nothing off limits when it comes to securing a win.

So, when the race has started and you realize that Teddy Roosevelt is conspicuously missing, as he was during Wednesday's Mets-Nationals game, alarms in your head should start going off.

Because, as he's proven time and time again, Teddy will win by any means necessary.

Any. Means. Necessary.

Wednesday was "Dollar Hot Dog Night" at Nationals Park, so Teddy enlisted some very special help: Dallas Braden, disguised as a hot dog.

Springing out of a box to knock the others down -- he literally chased Taft into the bullpen -- "Dallas Dog" wreaked havoc on the race and guaranteed Teddy's victory. Not a bad way to follow up catching fly balls while chilling in the Chase Field pool

For Teddy and Braden, the only rule is win.
