The Blue Jays trust David Price to make all the outs
David Price recorded the first out of Monday's Yankees-Blue Jays game, either because he's supremely lucky or, more plausibly, a Jedi.

Whichever it was, his preternatural ability to make outs without looking earned his teammates' respect. It set forth a direction for the game -- specifically, "Let's have Price make all the outs this evening." So, when Brian McCann popped up into foul territory in the sixth inning, Russell Martin and Josh Donaldson made a collective decision to defer to their pitcher.
Price, of course, had no problem making the catch to end the inning:

And so, while the rest of the league figures out a way to beat the shift, the Blue Jays have discovered the apparent future of defensive strategy: "All you, David."
