Dempster Family Foundation touches lives across the country
The Dempster Family Foundation hosted families affected by 22q11.2 deletion before tonight's game at Turner Field. Braves catcher, Brian McCann, joined Ryan Dempster at the event to help Strike Out 22q.
Ryan and Jenny Dempster founded the Dempster Family Foundation after their daughter, Riley, was diagnosed with a 22q11.2 deletion, a disorder caused by a deletion on chromosome 22q11.2, that seriously impeded her ability to feed and swallow.
Since January 2010, the Dempster Family Foundation's mission is to lend support to charities and organizations supporting children with the deletion.
