Derek Holland undergoes knee surgery after dog-playing injury
Derek Holland may miss half the 2014 season after undergoing surgery Friday to repair torn cartilage in his left knee. And how did the Rangers starter tear that cartilage in his knee?
"I was just playing with my dog and I was running up the steps and he came up from behind me and clipped me," Holland told MLB.com. "I fell on the top step, but it could have been worse. I could have fallen all the way down the stairs and cracked my head open."
