Cover me in gold: Derek Jeter was given gold slime honor at Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Sports Awards

Five World Series rings. 14 All-Star Games. 3,465 hits. All of those meaningless compared to the real prize that Derek Jeter won at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Sports Awards earlier this week: Slime. 

That's right, the most honored of prizes historically given to Nick cast members on game shows was bestowed upon The Captain himself.

This time, though, as the Yankee great went to collect his Legend award, he didn't just get the green goop. No, to befit a baseball legend who has plenty of silverware at home, he was coated in gold.
