Desmond Jennings to appear on the cover of Inside Pitch

The newest Rays cover boy? Desmond Jennings.

The center fielder graces the cover of the newest Inside Pitch magazine, the Rays' complimentary game program distributed at Tropicana Field. The feature story inside the magazine chronicles Jennings' childhood upbringing in Alabama, his rise to the majors and desire to excel in his new role with the Rays.

The photos for the cover and inside spread were shot by Steven Kovich. For the inside spread, Kovich used a 25-foot lift to shoot down towards Jennings for a unique overhead perspective on how the outfielder tracks down fly balls.

Fans wishing to obtain a copy of the magazine can do so by visiting Tropicana Field for a regular-season game between May 14-June 23.
