Fate nearly hands catcher Dioner Navarro an inside-the-park home run

Fate nearly hands Dioner Navarro an ItP home run

Sometimes it's easy to forget that baseball is a kid's game played by grownups. But during Thursday night's game against the White Sox, Blue Jays catcher Dioner Navarro experienced a moment of pure childlike glee.

On an error by White Sox outfielder Dayan Viciedo, Navarro turned what should have been a fly out into a double. Then, an off-balance throw gave him the chance to turn that double into an inside-the-park home run.

He couldn't believe his luck:

Utter joy radiated from his face as he watched the ball bounce away into the infield. Alas, the White Sox managed the throw back to home, but Navarro wanted to keep the dream alive, dancing around the tag and presumably singing, "Na na na na na, you can't get me":
