Dodgers and Cardinals clear benches, exchange pleasantries after Yasiel Puig is hit by pitch

Dodgers and Cardinals clear benches after Puig HBP

Tensions run high in the playoffs. Pitchers throw faster, batters swing harder and perceived slights are felt more intensely. So when Yasiel Puig was hit by an Adam Wainwright pitch in the third inning of Game 1 despite wearing nighttime reflective batting gloves, things got a little heated.

Adrian Gonzalez came out to have a few words with Yadier Molina. Though the situation was tense, I'm guessing this is how the conversation went down:

GONZALEZ: WHY'D YOU HIT MY TEAMMATE, BRO?!

MOLINA: IT WAS AN ACCIDENT, THIS IS A PLAYOFF GAME. WHY WOULD WE PUT A BASERUNNER ON RIGHT NOW?!

GONZALEZ: THAT'S A GOOD POINT. BUT I HAVE TO KEEP SCREAMING OTHERWISE I'LL LOOK SILLY.

MOLINA: OKAY, ME TOO!!!!

REST OF TEAM RUSHES OUT: HEY GUYS, WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT? WHO WANTS WINGS? THESE PRETZELS ARE MAKING ME THIRSTY!

It was all okay in the end, though as Puig and Wainwright made up and put their arms around each other. And, conceiveably, made plans to get wings later.
