Don't put your team's hat on the Phillie Phanatic's head if you don't want it to end up in his armpits
The Phillie Phanatic was doing what he does on Sunday -- putting his jersey over opposing teams' announcer's faces, vigorously rubbing bald heads, generally creating havoc and mayhem -- when Alex Gordon thought he'd have a little fun and place his Royals cap on the Phanatic's head.
To quote Hamlet, as portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger: Big. Mistake.
The Phanatic buried the offending hat deep into a place that I don't imagine many things come back from: the 300-pound furry monster's armpits. Gordon is probably not going to want that cap back -- and other players are probably going to think twice before messing with the venerable green mascot.
