El Duque throws out first pitch for Yankees

Orlando Hernandez didn't make his MLB debut until he was 32 years old. Still, El Duque managed to earn 90 wins and record more than 1,000 strikeouts while helping the Yankees win three World Series championships over nine seasons in The Show. 

On Monday, the Yankees honored El Duque -- who was recently named as a member of the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame's Class of 2015 -- as the former pitcher took the mound in the Bronx to deliver a first-pitch strike before the Yanks hosted the Red Sox.

The Yankees hold a 3.5-game lead atop the AL Wild Card standings, so maybe they'll ask El Duque to come back in October: He can bring that magnificent flamingo form of his … and the autumn magic that comes with it.
