Enjoy 2 1/2 minutes of a utopian baseball future in Japanese commercial

2 minutes of utopian baseball in Japanese commercial

I often fantasize about being a professional ballplayer. When putting wet clothes in the dryer, I ball up my socks and attempt to curve them in. When running for the bus, I imagine I'm trying to beat the throw to the plate. And whenever I have to pick something up, I simply imagine that I'm making a barehanded grab on a slow roller.

This Japanese commercial gets it. Rather than simply waiting for the light to change at a crosswalk, why not turn it into a fearsome batter-pitcher duel? Make the walk to get your morning coffee a full-out sprint to catch a sinking liner. As your morning commute, well, let's just say that you can one-up Mike Trout's home run robs with enough air

Really, we should look at this video as inspiration. It's a symbol of what, with a little hard work, our day-to-day life could be: Flying cars to rob home runs.
