Episode 9 of the Cut4Cast: Who has the most swag in MLB?

Ep. 9 of the Cut4Cast: Who tops the MLB swag chart?

We have all been slowly processing the news that Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig would be cutting back on his bat flips this season. And, to prepare ourselves for a post-flip world, the Cut4 staff got to wondering: Which Major Leaguer actually has the most swag? It's quite a compelling question.

Cut4's Dakota Gardner, Ian Kay and Gemma Kaneko offered up their answers this week, as well as their thoughts on some other important topics in the baseball universe: questions like, "What would your home run celebration be?" and "If you could create a baseball-themed TV show, what would it be?"

Here's a guide to this week's episode, with a look at the topics discussed and some selected quotes:

3:13 -- "What would be your swaggy home run celebration?"

Ian: "If we're down 9-1 in the 8th and I hit a solo shot, that's still me time. I hit that ball 317 feet down the line, but it's still my face. The camera is on me, and I'm gonna take advantage of that."

Gemma: "Maybe a backflip -- those are popular. And then I could backflip onto home plate."

Dakota: "Full-on sprint. As fast as you can. Inside-the-park home run-level sprint ...You never know -- they may go over the fence to get it and try to throw you out."

7:37 -- "Who has the most swag in MLB?"

Ian: "I'd like to point out Marcus Stroman: Out for this year -- which is very sad -- but, you know, a very promising young swagster. Is that a word?"

Dakota: "It depends on the beard. Because, like, a hipster beard -- hipsters don't have a ton of swag."

Gemma: "I don't think that the actual Captain America has a lot of swag, and therefore, his namesake also does not. He's like a nice young man. That's not swag."

14:40 -- "Which baseball-themed TV show would you love to watch?"

Ian: "I think it could be a good show -- I'd work on the pitch where you say: 'It's just all the dull parts.'"

Dakota: "That would be an episode: the players doing their taxes."

Gemma: "I like westerns. I like things that happened in the 1880s, in general. I just am a fan of that: Good presidents, good historical occurences."

23:48 -- "If you could catch a baseball game with any celebrity, who would it be?"

Gemma: "A lot of my friends are theater people. So, they're like, 'should we be quiet? Should we sit the whole time?' ... I once went to a game with my friend, and we left -- the home team lost, and she was like, 'No one's even clapping!'"

Ian: "This lady in front of me turns around and, in a British accent, goes, 'If you want to eat that bag of crisps, go to the cinema.' And I had to ask my mom to explain what she meant, because I didn't know what crisps were, or what the cinema was, or why I was getting yelled at."

Dakota: "I'm revoking your president-naming privileges after such a crass joke."
