Eric Byrnes played for 11 big league seasons, mostly with the Athletics and D-backs. He was known for his fearless, full-throttle approach to the game, which produced some spectacular diving catch highlights, like this:
Byrnes is now retired and working as an MLB Network analyst, but that doesn't mean he's lost his instinct to put his body on the line. In fact, Harold Reynolds has discovered the helpful fact that whenever you need Byrnes, you just need to throw a wiffle ball and wait for him to dive for it out of nowhere:
