Fancy special edition autographed Jeter cleats to be auctioned off for charity after farewell tour

Special autographed Jeter cleats to be auctioned off

If you didn't already know that Derek Jeter is retiring at the end of the season, then allow me to welcome you to the Internet. You'll want to google "David after dentist," but that's for another time because we've got to talk about this whole retirement thing.

As Jeter's farewell tour makes stops in Baltimore, St. Petersburg, the Bronx and Boston to end the regular season, people will be tripping over themselves for one last glimpse of The Captain before all of his gear is shipped off to Cooperstown to be preserved and studied for generations to come.

But what if you could take part of that historic haul home with you? Is there a better focal point for your family room than customized, special edition Jordan Brand cleats made specifically for Jeet in his final season? Probably not.

Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation decided to include two pairs of special edition Jordan Brand Jeter Lux 2.0 autographed cleats in their Derek Jeter Farewell Auction running now through October 19. This marks the first time these cleats are available to the public.

Cleats

Ooooo

One pair is the Pitch Blue & Silver cleats with special graphics comemmorating Jeter's historic career (these are the ones Jeter's been wearing throughout his last season). The other pair is just like the first, except it features Jeter's Kalamazoo High School colors of maroon and gold. Both are autographed and available to the public for the first time.
