For his next trick, Ichiro will make this baseball disappear

As a result of his astounding ability to produce consistent offensive numbers and his regal approach on the basepaths and in the field, Ichiro has earned the nickname "Wizard."

On Friday, the Wizard pulled off another incredible trick in his first at-bat.

As A's starting pitcher Jarrod Parker tried to field Ichiro's hard ground ball up the middle, the ball wound up nestled inside Parker's jersey. After fumbling with his buttons, Parker gave up and Ichiro earned the 2,588th hit of his career.

Strangely enough, this isn't the first time a single was lost in an opponent's jersey, as Brooks Conrad will tell you.

And remember that time El Duque threw his entire glove over to first base after a Rey Ordonez ground ball got stuck in his webbing?

You can't script baseball.
