For you, Boston: Yankee Stadium sings 'Sweet Caroline'
The Yankees honored the victims of the Boston Marathon tragedy on Tuesday night by playing Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Fans swayed and sang along to Fenway's eighth-inning theme song. Even Diamond tweeted about the gesture:
Thank you NY Yankees for playing 'Sweet Caroline' for the people of Boston. You scored a home run in my heart. With respect, Neil #OneBoston

"It's just about being an American and having a great time at the ballgame," Yanks fan John Broder said.
Alexandria Strully brought a sign to the game that read: "Prayers for Boston from a Yankee."
"No matter who we are, we're all Americans -- and that's the most important thing," she said.
