Foreigner rock Citi Field with anthem, postgame concert
On Friday night, Mets fans were treated to a concert by the band Foreigner after the Cubs-Mets game. The rockers, with such hits as "Feels Like The First Time" and "Jukebox Hero" participated in some pregame activities as well, including singing the National Anthem and lead singer Kelly Hansen throwing out the first pitch.
Hansen, who wasn't satisfied with his first attempt, tried again and unfortunately didn't fare much better. When asked about performing after the game, keyboardist Michael Bluestein said, "It's just super fun, everyone's pumped and we're pumped too."
Foreigner's was the first concert of the Mets postgame Concert Series, with Nas, O.A.R. and Third Eye Blind all set to play Citi Field later this summer.
