Remember Eric Thames? He's putting up video game numbers in Korea

Eric Thames played a total of 181 games in 2011 and 2012 with the Blue Jays and Mariners. Although he slashed at about a league average .250/.296/.431 rate with 21 homers, he did have some moments. Third-deck home run moments:

In the winter of 2013, at the age of 27, he signed with the KBO's NC Dinos. He put up a remarkable season in 2014 -- hitting 37 homers with 121 RBIs and a 1.111 OPS. And this year, somehow, he's been even better. With a handful of games left, the infielder leads the league with a .382 batting average and has 45 home runs, 132 RBIs, 38 steals and a league-leading 127 runs. He's also getting on base at a .501 clip and slugging at a monstrous .792 rate. Add it up and, yes, that's good for a 1.293 OPS. That's like creating your own player, while probably using a cheat code or two.

Granted, Major League Baseball and the Korea Baseball Organization are different leagues with different skill levels, but as of Sunday night, Thames would lead all of MLB in batting average, home runs, RBIs, OBP, slugging and OPS. His 38 steals would also put him in a tie for fourth.
