Gentleman outfielder Chris Dickerson makes diving catch, replaces divot

Gentleman outfielder Chris Dickerson makes diving catch, replaces divot

Your father's father's father, in between walking two miles through the snow to school (uphill both ways) and working 12-hour shifts in the mines, learned the hard way that anything in life worth doing is worth doing right. He also learned that America's pastime is a gentleman's game, dagnabit, and should be played that way.

If he was around to see baseball as it's played today, he'd probably amazed by the new-age polymers and fiber blends that go into dressing players and fans alike, but mostly he'd just be rooting for his favorite player, Chris Dickerson. Not only is Dickerson batting .300 on the year, he's making diving catches in the outfield ... and replacing the divots like a true gentleman.

Now if only he grew a mustache and was sponsored by Dapper Dan, your grandpappy's pappy would be stoically impressed.
