Gregor Blanco tries to trick umpire, pretends he caught ball that landed in stands
Gregor Blanco tricks to fool umps with fake catch

But you know the saying - nothing ventured, nothing gained. With that in mind, Gregor Blanco tried to pull the first ever apparating ball trick during Wednesday's Giants-Rockies game -- pretending he had caught a foul ball for an out after it clearly ricocheted off of the left-field seats:

Got it! I know it looks like it landed in the stands first, but I swear it just flew through a portal straight into my glove. No? Fine:

JK, he said, tossing the ball back into the stands. Portals aren't real. Portkeys totally are, though, and a group of fans in left field vanished into thin air.
