Happy birthday, Minnie Minoso
A happy birthday goes out today to White Sox icon Minnie Minoso.
The Cuban Comet played three years in the Negro Leagues before becoming the first black Latino player in the Majors in 1949 and the first black player on the White Sox two years later.
After retiring as a seven-time All-Star following the 1964 season, he made brief comebacks in 1976 and 1980, bcoming one of just two players with big league appearances in five different decades.
