Happy returns: Fan gives back David Wright's 200th HR

It's not often that a fan sitting in foul territory ends up with a historic home run ball, but that's exactly what happened to Mark Gallo on Friday night.

David Wright launched his 200th career home run in the bottom of the fourth inning, and the ball bounced off the bottom of the foul pole and back onto the field. Astros left fielder Ben Francisco then picked it up and tossed it into the Citi Field stands.

Gallo, a teenager from Pequannock, N.J., who has been playing baseball "ever since he could walk," caught the ball without realizing its significance.

"I've caught a foul ball before, but never a home run," he said while shaking with excitement.

Though he wasn't sure what he planned to trade the ball for, Gallo said the souvenir "belongs to David Wright, so I'm going to give it back to him."
