Having conquered MLB, HOF Class of 2015 takes over Late Show with David Letterman
The members of this year's National Baseball Hall of Fame class have achieved the highest honor bestowed in MLB. They are All-Stars, Cy Young Award winners, members of the 3,000 hit club -- they've done it all. They look back upon their MLB careers and quote Caesar.
And so Craig Biggio, Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez and John Smoltz have now turned their attention to a new challenge: Stand-up comedy. The best place to start? The Late Show with David Letterman, of course.
The foursome stopped by the Ed Sullivan Theater to help Letterman out with Wednesday's Top 10 list, and they did a bang-up job:
No. 9, in particular, seemed accurate:
It's an admirable second career, and if their Letterman appearance and the HOF election press conferences are any indication -- a zinger highlight reel worthy of an HBO special -- all four of them have a bright future making funnies for a living. Especially if they perform as a troupe.
