The teaser for HBO's Will Ferrell Spring Training Extravaganza is here, and it is beautiful

Back in March, a nation came to a halt to watch actor and noted enemy of dairy products Will Ferrell take on a downright Herculean challenge: Play 10 different positions for 10 different teams during five Spring Training games, all in one unbelievable day.  

It was an event bigger than all of us -- rather, it belonged to posterity, to future generations that deserve to know that a player was once traded for a washing machine:

Luckily, HBO was there to capture every hot dog and fake beard, and over the weekend, they released the teaser for "Ferrell Takes the Field." Behold, but do not look too closely, lest your eyes be burned by its majesty:

The form at shortstop, the undeniable natural talent, the knack for knocking over Gatorade coolers. Truly this is a day for celebration:

"Ferrell Takes the Field" will air on Saturday, Sep. 12 at 10 p.m. ET. Cancel any weddings, work obligations or birthdays accordingly.
