Giants backstop Hector Sanchez learned that lesson the hard way during the seventh inning on Sunday, redirecting a pair of Travis Wood fastballs directly into his left leg.

Sanchez remained in the game -- strapping his catching gear back on moments after flying out -- but now likely has a couple black-and-blue reminders that a little armor goes a long way at the plate.
