Pitching at the Major League level requires a lot of concentration. There are so many little things to focus on -- mechanics, release point, location, the hulking slugger just dying to hit one out of the park, etc etc.

A pitcher is a finely-tuned instrument, is what we're saying, and even the slightest distraction can throw the whole thing off -- like, say, an umpire calling time just before the pitch, as poor Hector Santiago can attest. The Angels' lefty was all set to deliver in the sixth inning of the team's game against the Astros, when ... well, when this happened:
