Here's a cool story of a boy, his bat and a 25-year, coast-to-coast journey to get Don Mattingly's signature
Over at Sons of Steve Garvey, Alex Cora - presumably not that Alex Cora -- tells the story of "A Boy and His Bat." The post is about an 8-year-old boy named Chris, who received a Don Mattingly game-used bat during Yankees Spring Training in 1987 and got it signed by the current Dodgers skipper at Camelback Ranch this year. It's a pretty cool anecdote full of chance, fate and ultimate fan dedication. Check out the full story here.
