He's more than your garden-variety Giants fan

When the Giants gave away Brian Wilson gnomes before a game against the A's in May, supply was limited and demand was exceedingly high.

Nick, a Giants fan from Northern California, knew he had to find an inefficiency in the system. After some searching, he located one in the promotion's fine print: Any fan who arrived at AT&T Park dressed as a gnome was guaranteed to receive a Giants closer figurine.

A fake beard and a pointed hat did the trick, and Nick even added some Bavarian flavor by swapping Wilson's baseball pants for lederhosen. The outfit was a hit with other Giants fans that day, and has been every time he's worn it since.

"I'm a crowd pleaser," he said. "I love to keep the crowd going no matter how we're doing. It means a lot to me to keep all the fans excited no matter what's going on."
