How MLB is getting through Snowmageddon 2015

Snowmageddon: Sadly, not a sequel to the smash 1998 hit, Armageddon, where Ben Affleck has to attempt to blow up a giant space snowball to the strains of Aerosmith. Instead, it's the day the snow fell endlessly from the skies in the Northeast. You know, kind of like the winter version of that other film, Deep Impact.
But have no fear. While the Northeast may be coated in snow, fortunately the Cut4 subterranean offices are warm and toasty, allowing us to bring you all the updates from the blizzard-affected baseball world.
Before the snow even started coming down, Wally was wishing for Spring Training.
So I heard about some snow? #FloridaPlease
- Wally (@Wally97) January 26, 2015Chris Iannetta was happy to just sit back and watch it all play out.
Snow starting to become heavier. This should be interesting to watch unfold. #Snowmageddon2015 #blizzardof2015

PNC Park was hit pretty hard:
Stay warm Bucco Nation. Pitchers and catchers report in just 23 days. #BuccosCountdown https://t.co/65HGYMXPoE
- Pittsburgh Pirates (@Pirates) January 27, 2015I mean, just look at Yankee Stadium. And this was before the brunt of the full storm:
#Snowmageddon2015 hits Yankee Stadium. Be safe out there. pic.twitter.com/EPQaLEjBmz
- New York Yankees (@Yankees) January 26, 2015And while everyone was rushing to get inside, Jacob deGrom's gnome was living it up:
#deGnome is enjoying a snow day. Be safe everyone. Get your deGrom Gnome on May 2 >> http://t.co/q1vs6CwIfW pic.twitter.com/roCqm5Zt86
- New York Mets (@Mets) January 27, 2015Vic Black just wanted everyone to stay warm:
Praying for safety and warmth for all my New Yorkers! #Snowmageddon2015 #NYCblizzard #NYC
- Victor Black (@Vic_Black_2) January 27, 2015And Shane Victorino echoed the sentiment:
Thinking about all of you on the East Coast!!! Be Safe
- Shane Victorino (@ShaneVictorino) January 27, 2015Meanwhile, Mike Napoli did what any sane person would do: barricade themselves indoors and play board games:
Though some people still had to get to work:
The shop must go on !!! Snowing buckets in NJ ... But sunny and 75 inside studio 3 @MLBNetwork . pic.twitter.com/0mlVctwMLU
- Dan Plesac (@Plesac19) January 26, 2015And if you must leave the house, please follow Jake Diekman's advice and be careful:
Hoping everyone in Philly stays safe.. Drive safe if you go out.
- Jake Diekman (@JakeDiekman) January 26, 2015If you can stay inside, all the better. Just toss another log on the fire, pull the blanket around you, and dream of warmer Spring Training days ahead.
