If David Wright is Captain America, which Avengers are the other members of Team USA?

After Tuesday's five-RBI game, one thing has become crystal clear: David Wright is our Captain America. The stars and stripes have never looked so good as Team USA makes its way through the World Baseball Classic led by the Virginia native. But if David Wright is indeed the Patriotic One, who are his fellow Avengers?

Iron Man: Joe Mauer

The man behind the plate wears about as much armor as Tony Stark, and does so with the same amount of panache and flair. Stark guides the Avengers through whatever they may face, and Mauer does the same with his pitchers. Both are incredibly smart too, with Stark building his suit from scratch and Mauer the owner of a career .405 OBP.

The Incredible Hulk: Giancarlo Stanton

Over the course of The Avengers, The Incredible Hulk destroys a flying aircraft carrier, flings about the island of Manhattan and survives a plummet from the sky with nothing but an abandoned warehouse to break his fall. He's an integral cog in the defense of the world, but only after Tony Stark helps him control his immense strength -- much like the young Stanton. Giancarlo unleashed himself upon the Majors in 2011 and '12, refining his power with more home runs and a lower strikeout percentage. That's pretty darn Incredible.

Thor: Ryan Braun

Thor is not of this Earth. He wields the power of the lightning in his hammer, flings himself great distances to-and-fro and is in love with Natalie Portman. While not a demigod, Braun is about as close as you can get among humans. The Hebrew Hammer joined the 30-30 club and won the NL MVP in 2011, then posted an even more ungodly stat line last season. Only that one B in AP Chemistry proves he's human after all.

Hawkeye: R.A. Dickey

Hawkeye may not have superhuman strength, speed or size. He doesn't have a cool costume or an enormous shield. He doesn't even have his own movie. But what he lacks in style, he makes up for with an unparalleled mastery of the anachronistic bow and arrow. Dickey is also the master of a bygone relic: the knuckleball. The newly acquired Blue Jays ace's unmatched control and unprecedented velocity with his knuckler led to an NL Cy Young last season. Not bad for one of the only guys around using old-school tech.

Nick Fury: Joe Torre

Nick Fury believed in the Avengers, even when they didn't believe in themselves. The Initiative was his idea. He protected them from the shadowy figures running the world and inspired them to coalesce as a team. He brought them together. He's seen battle. He's been tested. But ultimately, he's their leader. With the fate of the world at stake, he trusted that his guys would put their egos aside and do what's right. Joe Torre is Nick Fury. Nick Fury is Joe Torre.
