Is Jacque Niekamp the Cardinals good luck charm?

Earlier this year, we met Cardinals superfan Jacque Niekamp, who provided words of inspiration to Jason Motte and several teammates during the club's historic 2011 comeback and World Series victory.

Niekamp is a collector of baseball memorabilia, especially autographs from the Cardinals. In fact, she has an assortment of baseballs displaying signatures from club dating back to the '80s.

"I have a bat from Tony Pena from his last game in St. Louis (in 1989)," Niekamp said. "He handed to me as he came off the field. I couldn't believe it. I got him to autograph the bat a couple years later."

Right now, she's nearing completion of her 2012 autographed baseball, which currently features the likes of Matt Holliday, Jon Jay, and, of course, Motte. The autographs are nice, she says, but she's really convinced her Cards are capable of another deep October run. The team currently holds the second Wild Card spot in the NL.

"I believe in these guys," she says.

Would you doubt her?
