Is Warren Sapp visiting Tigers camp to make up for a collision with a future Tigers outfielder back in high school?

Warren Sapp was born and raised in Florida. He went to college at the University of Miami and split his NFL career between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders. But on Tuesday, the Pro Football Hall of Famer visited the Tigers Spring Training facility in Lakeland and claimed he's been a fan of the team since 1984.

Oh wait, I see what's going on here. Apparently, while playing football at Apopka High School, the big man once delivered a big-time hit on Dr. Phillips High School two-sport athlete (and former Tigers outfielder) Johnny Damon.

Not so random anymore, is it?
