It's all in the genes: Torii Hunter Jr. commits to Notre Dame for baseball and football

Hope the outfield walls in South Bend are sturdy.
Torii Hunter Jr., son of the Angels' nine-time Gold Glove winner, has committed to play both baseball and football at the University of Notre Dame next year. The two-sport phenom was selected as the MVP at Nike's The Opening camp this past summer, showcasing great speed and playmaking abilities at wide receiver. Scout.com ranks him as the No. 44 prospect at his position in the class of 2013.
The elder Torii expressed his excitement via Twitter:
Congrats to my son @thunterjr for his commitment to Notre Dame to play football and baseball. #proudpapa
