Jason Kidd: Legendary point guard, Nets head coach and ... Major League pitcher?

Newly hired Brooklyn Nets head coach -- and newly retired 10-time NBA All-Star -- Jason Kidd tossed out the ceremonial first pitch at Yankee Stadium before Wednesday's nightcap against the Dodgers.
"I was a little nervous, but once I got up on the mound I kind of relaxed and just looked at the glove and tried to think of playing basketball and making an assist," Kidd said.
Considering the point guard finished his hoops career with 12,091 assists, that was probably a solid strategy.
Kidd had the opportunity to chat with C.C. Sabathia, Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera prior to the pitch, so we're guessing he got some good pointers.
