Jeff Daniels is feeling awfully optimistic about Joe Nathan and the Tigers

Joe Nathan came out and slammed the door shut for the Tigers in a crucial win over the AL Central-leading Royals on Tuesday night.

The win -- and Nathan's performance in particular -- offered some much needed hope for Tigers fans as the team has struggled to keep pace with the Royals since the All-Star break, even after adding pitcher David Price.

Now even with the Royals in the standings, Tigers fans were feeling pretty good afterward, especially actor Jeff Daniels who tweeted that the game might have been the turning point for the team heading down the stretch.
