Jeff Kent is on Survivor: Week 2 Analysis

Every week, we’ll be analyzing Jeff Kent's performance on Survivor. This isn’t a Survivor recap. This is a Jeff Kent recap. Contains spoilers.

If you’re watching this season of Survivor solely for the purpose of seeing Jeff Kent, last night's episode wasn’t for you. No, don't worry -- Jeff Kent didn't get voted off. He just was barely on camera. Aside from seeing him run a little bit in a challenge and try to start a fire while hiding in a cave during a rainstorm, the 2000 NL MVP was fairly quiet.

The good news for Kent fans is that the less trouble he stirs at camp, the longer he’ll be around to entertain us week in, week out.

A good strategy for any Survivor player, not just Kent, is to help out a lot around camp and not talk too much early in the game. Make your move later.

And while Kent's tribe has yet to go to tribal council, he’s positioning himself well to avoid the chopping block. I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of Kent and his scheming in a few weeks.

JEFF KENT PREDICTION FOR WEEK 3

- Someone from Kent's tribe will confront him about his bum knee. So far he's been lucky. But he’s walking around with a torn MCL, and that’s bound to become an issue.

- Kent will get wet while trying to hide from the rain.

- Kent will not find the hidden immunity idol (it's already been found, even if he doesn't know it)

- Kent will not, I repeat, NOT eat any pizza.

- Kent will not be voted off and return for another week.
