Victor Espinoza, American Pharoah's jockey, threw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium
Triple Crown winner throws Yankees' first pitch
Victor Espinoza is the jockey who rode American Pharoah to victory in the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes, the guy who paused all of baseball on Saturday as he and his equine buddy coasted into history. Teams across MLB stopped what they were doing to watch, and on Sunday, one of those teams invited him to throw the ceremonial first pitch.
Of course, it wasn't the first time Espinoza had (technically) been at Yankee Stadium:
