Joel Peralta isn't afraid to pie his manager on live TV

Always up for a good joke, Rays manager Joe Maddon was pied by reliever Joel Peralta prior to Tuesday's game against the Royals while being interviewed on MLB Network (skip to the 2:30 mark in the video above). He said he was fine with the move by the veteran.

"Thank God it was whipped cream and not shaving cream," Maddon later said. "It was actually tasty, a nice little sugar rush."

Upon later looking at the replay, Maddon said the more comical part was a shirtless Jeff Keppinger walking past Maddon in the background (1:55 mark).

"I thought that was a great addition, I was not aware of it. If I'm watching it, that had to be the highlight."
