John Axford is MLB's personal Oscars live-tweeter

You know that the Rockies' John Axford is a talented Oscars prognosticator. But did you know that he's also a master live-tweeter? And, let's be honest, reading tweets from your couch is the best thing about the show.

Axford took over the MLB Twitter handle during tonight's Oscars ceremony to keep track of his picks and keep viewers at home entertained, and he did not disappoint. It's an award-winning performance in and of itself, and a grade-A audition to host next year's Oscars, we think.

He got off to a great start:

And then moved into the show:  

Hey, did you know the Oscars are long? 

He started off on fire: 

And was enjoying the show quite a bit: 

But then trouble began brewing with the Sound Mixing category: 

But he got back on track with the help of Jared Leto and Patricia Arquette: 

Until he was derailed again: 

But he regrouped for the second half of the show:

But things got sorted out in time for Lady Gaga's Sound of Music medley:
