Jon Jay reveals argyle socks, ups the ante for MLB's best-dressed title

Whatever the reason -- he might be a fan of UNC basketball (despite going to Miami), Payne Stewart or King George IV's reign in the United Kingdom -- Jon Jay pulled up his pant leg to remove an ankle protector on Wednesday and revealed some stylish argyle socks in the process.

It wasn't the first time Jay has sported the dapper hosiery in a game, so I'm pretty sure the bar for classy on-field attire has been raised. Time will tell if another player will try to best him with a cravat, pocketwatch or monocle before the season's over.
