Jose Altuve first saw his All-Star jersey when a fan wore it to BP

Jose Altuve had to wait until a pregame ceremony on Saturday to receive his All-Star jersey, but he got a preview from Frank Villalobos during batting practice.

"I got here about 1 o'clock and the game didn't start until 7:05," Villalobos said. "I wanted to be here to get autographs and hopefully get the Altuve jersey, which I did. When I got into the Union Station store, they told me they just put it out."

It's not the first Altuve jersey for Villalobos, who can usually be found in Home Run Alley during Astros games. The Houston native said he's been following the second baseman and several other Astros players since their time with the Corpus Christi Hooks.

"He was a very good player," Villalobos said. "Also J.D. Martinez and Jimmy Paredes. I can see why they got called up very quickly."
