Jose Iglesias flips his bat on a called strike
There's nothing wrong with taking pride in your work. Banging your chest as you pass home plate, dancing after scoring a goal, or in my case, calling home to brag to my mother whenever I write a typo-free post. The only problem: Making sure you actually did the thing you were proud of.
On Friday night, Jose Iglesias was snakebit by that last part. After taking what he thought was ball four from the Royals' Chris Young, Iglesias flipped his bat, getting an impressive three end-over-ends before prancing like a unicorn down to first base. Unfortunately for the Tigers' shortstop, it was called strike two.
After fouling off the next pitch, Iglesias then grounded out to end the inning. But hey, at least he earned some serious style points.
