Jose Lobaton's Game 3 walk-off may result in an epic ice cream party
Jose Lobaton's walk-off had barely splashed down before the call went out on Rays Radio: "It's ice cream time!"
Tampa Bay's backstop, who blasted two game-ending dingers during the regular season, has made a habit of celebrating his long balls with a cone -- or several.
"The second walk-off that I hit, they gave me 20 ice creams or something like that," Lobaton said.
After depositing a Koji Uehara slider into Tropicana Field's center field touch tank to win Monday's Game 3 in the ninth, Lobaton has every right to raid the Rays freezer. But the catcher may want to skip that second scoop this time around -- thanks to his heroics, a must-win Game 4 looms Tuesday night.
