Josh Lueke, David Price confuse autograph seekers

Called up to join the Rays on Tuesday, RHP Josh Lueke didn't arrive at the Oakland Coliseum until the 5th inning, so it's understandable that some of his gear would be lagging behind as well.

While in the clubhouse on Wednesday morning, Lueke realized he was short a batting-practice jersey. "Apparently mine didn't make it," Lueke said. "Last time (I got called up), in Toronto, my bags didn't even make it."

Rays ace David Price quickly offered his No. 14, and Lueke accepted. While further crisis was averted, the Rays pitchers may have confused autograph seekers.

Several A's fans weren't entirely sure whose signature they were receiving.

As for the jersey Price loaned to Lueke? There's no guarantee he will see it again.

"This is going on eBay," Lueke joked. "Maybe I'll try to get him to sign it first."

There is no word on whether Lueke was able to secure Price's signature before being returned to Triple-A Durham on Wednesday. Stay tuned.
