Josh Reddick shows Chris Young how to Bernie Lean
It's been a long offseason. Cold weather stinks. We're all ready for pitchers and catchers to report -- FEBRUARY 11!!! -- and we're all ready to get back to the things that make baseball so great.
In the case of the A's, that most likely involves ridiculous dance moves. Leave it to the young fan in a green A's sweatshirt to ask the question that apparently was captivating the entire audience at FanFest in Oakland:
"Have you guys taught Chris how to 'Bernie' yet?"
Chris is Chris Young, the A's new outfielder who arrived in an October trade with the D-backs, and the Bernie ... well, that needs no introduction. Young's first effort at the dance that fueled Oakland's run to an improbable AL West title -- it was more likely a combination of stellar pitching, undeniable team chemistry and some guy named Cespedes, but I'm giving the "Bernie Lean" credit anyway-- wasn't too shabby.
And Chris Young dancing wasn't the only highlight of A's FanFest. One woman also got to run her hand through A.J. Griffin's golden locks.
