J.P. Howell makes incredible between-the-legs snag to start inning-ending 1-2-3 double play
"High-pressure situation" doesn't even begin to describe J.P. Howell's Monday night.
The Dodgers were already down two runs when Howell inherited two runners in the eighth inning of Game 3 of the NLDS. After giving up a Jon Jay single to load the bases, Howell got Kolten Wong to rope one back to the mound. The left-hander somehow managed to field the ball between his legs to start the inning-ending 1-2-3 double play.
You might think it was part reaction, part luck -- but Howell and Yasiel Puig have been workin' on that move for months.
