Just another day in the life of Puig: Dodgers outfielder hits homer, throws out runner at third
Watch Yasiel Puig hit a homer, throw out a runner
On the night that the Dodgers clinched the NL West and Clayton Kershaw was (once again) otherworldly, Yasiel Puig made sure to do his part.
First, Puig helped break a 1-1 tie -- lifting Tim Hudson's pitch high over the right-field fence. Of course, he flipped his bat -- not to be showy, but because his hands probably stung from hitting it so hard:

And when the Giants were threatening in the seventh, Puig let loose with a spinning, dancing, laser beam throw to third base for the out:

The play came only two days after Puig last showed off his rocket cannon -- cutting down Brandon Belt at home plate:

It was Puig's 14th outfield assist of the season, putting him second in the Majors behind Yoenis Cespedes. Of course, Cespedes has done a few amazing things with his arm this season, so it's pretty good company to keep.
