Kate Upton publicly shames Justin Verlander for not being able to cook pizza

There are few endeavors within the artistic and culinary communities that hold the critical acclaim and personal responsibility that comes with making pizza.

Things like uniform crust-width, proportionate cheese coverage and commensurate topping distribution are all vital to the pizza-making process. At the very least, you've got to preheat the oven to the proper temperature. 

Model, actress and professional famous person Kate Upton recently took to Twitter to publicly shame her boyfriend, Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander, for horrifically violating this special bond. According to a couple of tweets from over the weekend, Upton and Verlander were living lavishly, attempting to share a pizza on Saturday when Verlander botched things up in a major way.

That image is so sad that it deserves to be set to a Sarah McLachlan song.

Not to be deterred by his initial struggles, Verlander showed true poise and professionalism, hopping right back up on that horse and cooking a second pizza.

The second attempt presumably worked out better than the first.

Verlander shouldn't feel too badly about himself, though. Cooking is tough; it's not like there's a bunch of tweens pan-searing scallops and serving sliced skirt steak that meet five-star restaurant standards. Oh, wait ...
