Attention everyone: One of the KBO's very best bat flippers might be coming to MLB

Bat-flipping KBO player may be coming to MLB

Back in July, we brought you the Ballad of Jae-Gyun Hwang, Bat-Flipper Extraordinaire. Even among his KBO peers -- a group with plenty of experience in the celebratory lumber department -- Hwang's flip stood apart for its stately grace and sense of flair:

And now, having flipped all there is to flip in his native land, Hwang now looks across the sea. That's right -- he's looking to take his talents to MLB. As he told the "Korea Times"

"Any baseball player would dream of playing in the majors. And I have been working hard to realize that dream myself. I've already signed on with an American management company."

Hwang currently plays third base for the Lotte Giants, and he's had plenty of dingers to celebrate, hitting .290 with 26 homers this year. Before we get too carried away with dreams of bat-flipping glory, though, one note:  Each KBO team can only post one player per offseason for a silent auction among MLB teams. Hwang's teammate, Son Ah-seop, has also requested posting, and his defense makes him the nemesis of bat flippers everywhere:

So while there's no guarantee that Hwang will be coming to America, it's safe to say that, no matter what happens, we'll be in safe hands.
